Do you know a high school student interested in law, criminal justice, or making a difference in their community? The Red Hook Youth Court is recruiting now. The Red Hook Youth Court trains young people aged 14-18 years old to serve as jurors, judges and advocates, handling real-life cases involving their peers. The goal of youth court is to use positive peer pressure to ensure that young people who have committed minor offenses learn accountability and repair the harm caused by their actions. Applications are due Friday, April 4, 2014. The Red Hook Youth Court is a program of the Red Hook Community Justice Center.
