On February 19 th the Red Hook Youth Court held a small event in recognition of Black History Month. We began our event with a competitive game of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Black History Month Edition” to test the knowledge of the members on prominent and influential African American Leaders both past and present. The game was also designed to educate and make the members aware of some influential African American Leaders they may not have been as familiar with such as Hattie McDaniel, Charles Sifford and Carter G. Woodson just to name a few. The members were very competitive and it was exciting to see them be so passionate and attentive to the game and information being given. Game Time! The answer was Lisa Leslie. The answer was Emmett Till.
