Community leaders, organizations, Red Hook residents, and Justice Center staff were all in attendance and participated. There were a few Red Hook residents who donated food to the event. We also had live music from a local drummer!
There was a silent auction fundraiser, in which we sold photos, paintings, artifacts, and other items. Some of the paintings were sketched by Alice Tapia and painted by Justice Center staff. All of the photos that were auctioned off were photos from teens that were participated in the JustArts: Photography program. All proceeds went to a local non-profit, Women in Touch, and to youth enrichment activities at the Justice Center.
